Application
Carwash tunnels have become a master piece of automation where efficiency, quality of service and cost of operation are keys to success.
Thanks to sophisticated machinery, the human interaction is minimised.
As also the prewash is automated, a minimum personnel is required to clean more than xxx cars per hour.

The payment phase should not be a bottle neck in the processing time nor should it be a trouble to assure the profitability of the operation

Payment automation must take into consideration: user friendliness, flexibility, correct and safe payment as well as customer loyalty.

Co-development
Antenor is specialised in payment automation and has become an expert in payment with public cash, public cashless solutions as well as private payment solutions.
Together with Prowash, one of the leading Carwash partners and an innovative customer, we were able to develop optimised payment stations for carwash tunnels, contributing to the largest and most successful carwash in Belgium.

The solution
To avoid that payment becomes a bottle neck to the tunnel capacity, 2 separate payment automates can process the program selection and payment prior to advancing to the tunnel.

The Antenor G-500 can be operated while seated in the car. Using a customer-friendly touch screen with clear touch buttons, the user can make his choice of the preferred wash program.

Once the customer has made his choice, he or she can pay using cash (banknotes and coins with automatic change given) or with his bankcard.

To give loyal customers an additional incentive, we introduced a Mifare based loyalty card branded as "Cleancard™".
People can buy this card at the terminal and preload it easily to enjoy a very attractive bonus depending on the amount charged.

Associated to the card category, separated services and/or prices can be organised. This turned out to be of great advantage to the many car-dealers and companies in the neighbourhood.

Customer experience
Combining a great carwash technology with a large capacity and efficiency the Wasstraat succeeded to become the largest carwash in Belgium.
With a minimum of personnel, a maximum number of customers is served in no time.
Personnel is released from handling cash and delivering change and receipts. They can focus on giving a big smile and inviting their customers to a great experience.
Because of the efficient self-service payment stations, customers experience no queuing and enjoy a great service at an attractive price.
Thanks to features such as "Happy Hour™" the peak loads of customers is spread into time to optimise the capacity of the carwash throughout the opening hours.
Thanks to the Cleancard - which has even become an attractive birthday gift- a loyal customer base is built.
